Transcend Your Coding Career!

Transcend Your Coding Career!
February 17, 2017 Tamra Lahmer

If you are ready to TRANSCEND YOUR CAREER into areas of specialty and new career opportunities, please read further! Texas Career Center is offering two exciting opportunities in 2017 for classroom education in specialty certifications.

Evaluation and Management coding is required for providers of all types and specialties, and is among the most complicated of CPT code categories.  Understanding the levels and the key components of each code is tricky to say the least.  When coupled with ongoing changes to CMS rules and policies for coding complex services such as Observation, Critical Care, Hospital and Prolonged Services, it is evident that a CPC without specialized training is subject to making errors which could be severe and have an adverse impact to a provider’s compliance.

For students who want to continue into the specialized field of medical auditing, Texas Career Center is offering a classroom course to teach the Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) curriculum.  AAPC strongly recommends having one of the core coding credentials and a minimum of two years coding experience to be successful in the comprehension and application of the information offered in the CPMA course.

The instructor for both the Advanced E&M and Certified Professional Medical Auditor class is Tamra Lahmer, founder of Texas Career Center.  Tamra’s passion for coding is evident in her positive energy and enjoyment of teaching medical coding to students for almost two decades.  Tamra has developed successful auditing techniques and reporting skills that support the CPMA credential and equip the student with knowledge and insight that is  applicable to real-world compliance objectives and auditing needs.

Don’t trust your coding career to a computer!  Consider attending the Advanced Evaluation and Management or Certified Professional Medical Auditor class at Texas Career Center for a comprehensive, quality and interactive classroom experience.
