Texas Career Center in Fort Worth, TX has the right training for anyone interested in careers in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration.
Our HVAC classes are taught by highly skilled instructors who actively work in this field and have a combined 70+ years of HVAC experience.
There is no replacement for hands-on knowledge to train you in the most current equipment and advances in the field.
HVAC technicians can train in advanced refrigeration repair and service in our new Advanced Refrigeration Training specialty seminar. This new training was developed to enhance the HVAC technician’s career opportunities by learning an area of specialty not common to all HVAC techs. We invite you to investigate before you learn. Texas Career Center offers free career information seminars for anyone who has an interest in the HVAC field and would like to know more about job opportunities.
Our career seminars provide you with information on the type of work you can gain as an HVAC service technician. And we answer all of your questions with honesty. We want you to make the right choice for your career and your training.
There are no obligations for Texas Career Center enrollment if you attend this seminar; and HVAC program registration will not take place at the seminar.
HVAC Job Opportunities
When considering a career in HVAC, it is important to gain the type of education that will start you working in the industry and quickly as possible. And you need to be armed with the level of trade knowledge to meet your employer’s needs.
The Texas Career Center HVAC program teaches students how to maintain, service and repair HVAC equipment with confidence; and in a reasonable amount of time. Our training models are designed by HVAC professionals who are active in the service field every day; and who have decades of successful experience and expertise to share with you: the student.
Our HVAC Service Training Program students will learn about thermodynamics, electrical, mechanical, physics, chemistry, piping, and more. Students will be trained on EPA requirements and receive their EPA certification prior to graduation.
With the advances of electrical controls as well as the changes in refrigerants, the HVAC field is becoming more challenging and requires a higher level of skill and technical training. Texas Career Center instructors are currently active in the HVAC field; their knowledge is up to date with new changes, equipment, controls and refrigerants as they are introduced into the industry.

Full Time and Part Time Class Schedules
The HVAC Service Training Program is offered in both full-time and part-time schedules. The full-time program offers classes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students who attend full-time classes will complete the Program in just two weeks.
Students who attend part-time classes may select either weeknight classes or Saturdays. Weeknight classes are conducted from 6:00 to 9:20 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday over a period of 10 weeks, and Saturday classes are from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with completion in 10 weeks.
A Certificate of Program Completion will be awarded to the student upon successful completion all courses specified in the Program Outline. To receive a Certificate of Program Completion, all classes must be taken in the order as specified in the Program Outline.
Texas Career Center Admission Requirements
Individuals who have interest in the HVAC Service Training Program are required to:
- Interview with an admissions counselor
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Present proof of secondary education (high school diploma or GED)
- Achieve a passing score on the institution’s entrance assessment examination
