Texas Career Center offers a variety of seminars to enhance and develop your career.  Most seminars provide CEUs for qualifying recertification through AAPC or other entities.  For more information on the content and objectives of our seminars, you can visit our seminar page.

    NOW INCLUDES FREE AAPC ONLINE COURSE! A 3-day intense study of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS to prepare for the CPC examination. Instructor and students use the CPC Exam Study Guide for their course textbook. Taught by approved AAPC instructors only.
    A 6-hour seminar with review of CPT and ICD-10, CPC exam test-taking tips and a timed "mock" CPC exam to prepare the student for their test date.
    An 8-hour seminar which provides a comprehensive overview of the AAPC coding curriculum. Students will perform hands-on case studies to refresh their knowledge of all facets of coding. This is an excellent course for certified coders who need to brush up on unfamiliar areas. Qualifies for 8.0 CEUs.
    If you didn't pass the CPC the first time, this seminar will help you regroup and determine the best approach for your retake exam. Lessons learned, new strategies for taking the exam, tips and tricks and a 12-question hands-on practicum designed to master the rule-out method and complete your test in the allotted time. All students will receive a 150-question mock CPC exam (with answers) to take home and use for practice.
    Prepare to become a medical coding auditor by attending this 24-hour course. Taught by a CPMA who performs 1,000's of audits each year, the student will understand auditing and reporting as well as the regulatory policies used for medical coding.
    Master the challenge of E&M coding and the regulations that support correct coding of these complicated CPT codes! This seminar will explore the key components of service levels, critical care, observation and all other categories of E&M codes.
    An 8-hour seminar complete with on-site testing for all three levels of EPA certification. The student will learn the EPA laws that govern the handling and removal of refrigerants from all types of refrigeration equipment, except mobile.
    A 24-hour seminar designed for those with knowledge and/or experience in the HVAC field. Training provides an advanced level of knowledge in the controls and wiring of refrigerated units, identifying specific problems that do not commonly exist in HVAC systems.
    Known as one of our signature services, this seminar prepares the coder with knowledge on new CPT and ICD-10 codes, as well as annual billing and compliance updates. The day concludes with a panel who takes audience questions.
